Axe Valley Pedallers raised £2,227.91 for charity on their Round the Block – Round the Clock 24 hour cycle event. They have just collected in the last of the sponsorship and are just delighted with the total figure.
The money is to be divided equally between Devon Air Ambulance Trust and The Prostate Cancer Charity.
The cycle event that was held during September when the Tour of Britain cycle race visited the town proved to be a huge success and continues the promotion by the club of “Cycling for All”.

Seven members of the Axe Valley Pedallers have just spent a day on the open moorland of Dartmoor training for a weeks off-road biking in Morocco.
Next week the seven and two other members will find themselves in the heart of Marrakech, jostling with the crowds in the main square, watching jugglers and snake charmers, magicians and acrobats. Listening to story tellers and eating food from the rows of open air stalls. In the background a glimpse of the snow capped mountains of the High Atlas will beckon the Pedallers, for this is their destination.
