We’ll be setting off from Seaton Tourist Information centre at 10am, on a 3-4 mile route passing the Tate promenade, Seaton's Big Ben, Buckingham Palace (no word yet on if ma’am will be joining us), the Old Axmouth Bridge, Estuary way, stopping off in Colyton for a spot of tea and scones in Liddons Dairy tea room, and ending with a bit of a knees-up in the White Hart, Colyford.
The event is to raise money for Headway Devon which is an independent registered charity working to provide essential services to people in the county of Devon with brain injuries, their families and carers. For more information, go to http://www.headwaydevon.org.uk/. |

Alistair 'Madal' Cope of Axe Valley Pedallers was delighted to be representing The Prostate Cancer Charity at the recent launch of Team Qoroz 2010, which was held at Qoroz HQ near Stroud.

Axe Valley Pedallers enjoy their annual weekend cycle tour to France |

France welcomed ten enthusiastic AVP cyclists with a frosty but gloriously sunny morning for our annual weekend cycling tour.
Concerns for a rough crossing after the previous week’s gales and floods disappeared as we arrived at Plymouth Ferry Port on Friday evening and wheeled our bikes on board the Bretagne. Thanks go to Ketchup for organising parking permits which meant that we also avoided queuing, being the first people on the boat.

Those of you who spent your summer evenings last year racing round the Merryfield Airfield at Ilton will be well aware of the fantastic buzz you get from riding in a bunch on a traffic free, closed race circuit. Those of you who haven’t just need to ask a Pedaller who did to see their eyes light up as they recall the thrill!
Wouldn’t it be great if we had such a facility closer to home and a race series strictly for novices and beginners? Even better if there were coaching from a British Cycling coach and you didn’t need an expensive race licence to take part. Well, guess what..... we have!

We have some exciting plans for the year ahead and to enable AVP to peruse these new opportunities we are affiliating to British Cycling.
By way of an introduction to BC we are lucky enough to have the newly appointed Regional Events Officer Andy Parker join us for a Thursday night ride on the 11th of March.
