Fun, food and curious clues were enjoyed during a great family day out. It was a pleasure to welcome local and visiting families who joined us for the first time.
Organised by Sebastian 'Sono' Cope, the Charity Officer, and Ben 'Buster' Dowell, all ages cycled in and around Colyton, armed with a variety of amusing and challenging questions. Children and adults could be seen darting in and out of the hedgerows, gazing over fences and bridges and peering at the dates written on maps and old buildings.

Well that is exactly what 14 members of Axe Valley Pedallers have just done on this years Madal's 100. Very early on Sunday morning when most of us still intend to stay tucked under the duvet for at least another 3 hours, a rather chilly gathering of cyclists met outside the Seaton Tourist Information office for their annual June ride. Each year they set off to complete a minimum of 100 miles and hopefully help some club members to complete this holy grail of cycling.

Friday, 19 June 2009 10:24 |
National Bike Week is an annual country-wide event aimed at encouraging people of all abilities to get on bike and find out how much fun it is. The Axe Valley Pedallers had their fifth family cycle that fitted in well with this year's National Bike Week focus to encourage families to get out and ride together.
As always there was a good turnout with a total of 79 riders of all ages and abilities. Once everyone was kitted out with balloons, wheel spinners and stickers Madal gave a pre-ride welcome speech and then handed over to the four ride leaders to explain their rides.
